Overall I would rate the trip, on a scale of 1 to10, a 7. There was a flight delay out of LA so we did not get into Hong Kong till 11 PM.
The hotel in Hong Kong, the Cosmopolitan, was not a 4 star to us. It is on a very busy corner and to walk to any type of shopping or eatery, you had to go down 42 flights of stairs and back up 42 steps because you could not cross the very busy streets. As senior citizens this was not acceptable. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The day we were to fly to Bangkok a typhoon warning was issued and all flights were cancelled so we ended up staying in Hong Kong an extra night. Thank goodness they were able to give us a room for the extra night. Hong Kong airlines would only put us on standby the next day and we had the Senior customer service Rep get us a flight out at 5 PM via Thia Airlines. That cost us $700.00 but my travel insurance will cover that cost as well as the cost of the extra nights stay and the meals for that day. Thank goodness for insurance.
The hotel in Bangkok was super as were the staff. We did enjoy our shortened stay there. Took a tour with a very good tour guide.
The hotel in Singapore was also very nice but a million miles from anywhere. It was strange that they had bus service to downtown shopping but then they did not take you back to the hotel. The cab fare was $25.00 just to get back. Next time I will pay more attention as to the location of the hotels.
The hotel in Bali was not just a hotel, but a very nice resort right on the ocean. Nice room with a patio. Great buffet breakfast by the pool was included.
I will definitely book with you good people again. We are looking to possibly go to Australia /New Zealand next year. I will stay in touch.
Thanks for all your help
