Thanks for the email. This was my second trip with TripMasters.com (Well, my first was actually with EuropeanDestinations.com, but I think they`re owned by the same parent company . . .).
Overall Tripmasters.com was great - well organized, reasonably priced, and the customer service was excellent.
Our hotel in Sydney (Quality Cambridge) was especially great - it was located just 2 blocks off of Oxford Street, which is the primary gay neighborhood where we wanted to try restaurants, do shopping, etc, so that was perfect. The hotel staff was EXTREMELY friendly. There were never fewer than 3 people working the front desk, and they went above & beyond the call of duty in making us feel welcome. The level of service was well beyond what I would expect for a hotel in this price range. I would stay there again on a future visit.
Our hotel in Auckland was okay. The staff were nice, they provided free internet access in the lobby. I`m fairly certain I had money stolen from my room. The location was very inconvenient. The hotel was about a $35-45 cab ride (each way) from downtown Auckland, and wasn`t really near anything. The money saved on this hotel was more than outweighed by the cost of daily transportation to the city. It was a nice enough place, but if someone is on vacation and not planning to spend time right near the hotel, it isn`t a great option.
The only thing I feel you could have done a better job with was providing me with the correct names for the airline carrier for each leg of the trip. The information I received from Tripmasters.com was that 3 of my flights were on Air New Zealand, 1 was on United, and 1 was on JetStar. In the end, 1 was on Air New Zealand, 3 were on United, and 1 was on Jetstar. It would have been really nice (both in terms of where to go at the airport and also to have lower expectations of plane accommodations and service) to know that more flights were on United and fewer were on Air New Zealand. I figured it out and made it work.
Overall, again, we had a wonderful time on vacation and a great experience with Tripmasters.com. I will use this service again in the future.
